Fall and Football

Fall is in the air. It's not cold, but I can feel the difference. At night my summer pjs just don't quite keep me warm enough and I have found myself dreaming about hot chocolate and creamy pumpkin soup. It makes me a little sad because I remember trying to take Ilan out for walks on my maternity leave last year, but it was in the 90's and too hot for it to be enjoyable (or good for Ilan). It's been a mild summer, here in Texas, which means that it's actually been pleasant more often than not. Lots of good things ahead of us this fall, ending with our move back to California. I can't wait.

In other news, we went see the Galaxy play on Scott's birthday. The idea was to see David Beckham, but his debut with the team turned out to be disappointment after disappointment in cities across the US as this megastar stayed on the injured list. This is old news and FC Dallas has given us free vouchers to another game, so I can't complain. Scott's dad did get this really cute picture of Ilan, though. I think this was the only point in the game where he was looking at the field, or maybe even the only point where he looked like he was looking at the field (he might have been eyeing the kids in front of us who were eating popcorn). It captured the moment, anyway.

What a cute picture! I laughed that he may have been watching the field or eyeing the popcorn. Too funny. :)

Hope the game was fun and Scott had a nice birthday.
